What is Incoloy 800/800H Welded Pipe?


Incoloy 800 (UNS N08800) and Incoloy 800H (UNS N08810) are nickel-iron-chromium superalloys known for their excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and high-temperature corrosion. These alloys are widely used in welded pipe form for applications in petrochemical, power generation, heat treatment, and chemical processing industries.


Key Features:


High-Temperature Strength: Maintains mechanical properties at elevated temperatures (up to 1100°F / 593°C for 800H).


Oxidation & Corrosion Resistance: Resists oxidation, carburization, and sulfidation in harsh environments.


Good Fabricability: Can be welded and formed using standard techniques.


Stability: Resists stress corrosion cracking and chloride-ion attack.

Welding Considerations

Welding Methods: TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), SAW.

Filler Metals: ERNiCr-3 (Inconel 82), ENiCrFe-3 (Inconel 182/Incoloy 800H compatible).

Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT): Recommended for stress relief (annealing at 1600°F / 871°C for 800H).


Applications of Incoloy 800/800H Welded Pipes
